“It was refreshing to find such a young, transparent, and upfront builder, who values his client relationships, and who demonstrated dedication towards achieving an excellent standard of workmanship. I chose Chris, over three other local builders, mainly due to his age (28 at the time) and the enthusiasm he displayed in wanting to meet my projects’ needs. I loved his youthful enthusiasm, ‘nothing is impossible’ nature, and his desire to ensure all my needs were met. It’s a juggle I’ve experienced in the past, having built and/or renovated over 10 properties in the last 25 years. Once the build commenced, I was not disappointed in my assessment of Chris. It is obvious from the outset Chris was a young man who had a passion for his work.

No matter what resolution was required to items as they came up during the build, Chris was swift to ensure they were dealt with promptly and kept me informed along the way. It would be fair to say Chris has gone above and beyond on my build. Chris cared about ensuring the build was not only on time but was within my budget. We were in the middle of a major COVID-19 lockdown in our state whilst we were building, and his forward planning to secure the required building materials due to supply constraints was impressive. He was always a phone call or email away, never avoided the hard conversations, and personally chatted to me when we had to resolve any items. He respected my own work schedule to ensure I could meet him and/or his team/ trades on site to resolves items at a time that worked in with me. Chris treated me with respect and understanding, never spoke down to me about the building process, and always ensured I left understanding what was possible and how he would achieve this.

The quality of his work was excellent and consistent throughout the build from his employees and the subcontractors. I found his team, from site supervisor down to be talented, respectful, and knowledgeable. It was encouraging to see he has created a nurturing learning experience for his apprentices. A good builder is only as good as his trades, and I witnessed Chris enjoying a positive working relationship with his trades. They turned up on time and were keen to listen and meet my needs. I feel it is a mark of a good builder to maintain such respect of, and from, their subcontractors. I have a long-term friend now in Chris, who lives down the hill and has built his own cellar, what more could a past client ask for! It was refreshing to end on such a high note with Chris at handover. I’d work with Chris and his team again on my next project, without hesitation.”
